BOO

Thank you everyone for calling by and wishing me well.

The mouth ulcers are still causing me a lot of trouble, I can't eat much at all, have had yogurts and soup, but the soup can only be tepid and it is not nice!!! One good thing is that I have lost the extra pounds I put on over the Christmas holidays, mind you I do not recommend illness to lose weight!

The flu, well I did behave myself and stayed in for four days, honest I did, well OK I nipped out on Sunday for an hour, unfortunately I had to go to work today, as I only work four hours a day I thought I would be fine, well I was really but it just floored me, after two hours I was dead beat, yeah I know I should stay at home but with the big holiday just around the corner I really can not afford to lose any pay. I would get sickness pay but would lose the first three days, which is almost one weeks pay.

Anyway I can home from work and went straight to bed and will be in bed soon for the night. So all in all I am on the mend and resting as much as I can.

A question for you, where does the saying 'As weak as a kitten' come from? Yes I feel as weak as a kitten, but just wish I also had the energy as a kitten, they are full of life and I sure could do with a bit of their energy!!!!!

OK then just going to try and see what you have all been up too and then it is off to that lovely comfy bed of mine, we have become real good friends these past few days!

If you had ever tied a rope to a piano and the other end to a kitten and tried to make the kitten pull it up a flight of stairs, then you would know where the term came from. You can do that to a grown cat and take a broom to it, and it could putt the piano up two flights. I’m glad you are feeling better, though. But, until you get the mouth ulcers cleaned up, I’m going to pass on kissing you.

I recommend TCP, dapped onto the mouth ulcer up to 4 times a day. Not nice but I guarantee you will notice a difference within 24 hours.

I'm getting caught up. I hope you are feeling better and you may already know this, but what I do that I think helps best for "mouth ulcers" which I am prone to. Is warm salt water. It hurts like a "Mo fo" but I think it also seals them up and makes them go away faster.

GOOD LUCK

Glad you are feeling a bit better. I have never heard the kitten saying.

Feeble and fragile, as in After that bout with flu she was weak as a kitten. This simile has largely replaced weak as a cat, from the early 1800s.

I feel rotten as I've been away for so long, I didn't know you was ill, girl! Still considering us, and making us smile, as well, so you have!

Big hugs and my tip for mouth ulcers will always be Bonjella. Stings like **** on contact but numb Heaven soon after!

Well, I guess that's one way to lose the pounds. I don't know where that saying came from, but sure do know how it feels to want to be better, but find out you're not quite there yet! Sure hope you're on the rebound! Rest well, my friend.
