Mr Milo is very SAD

Happy days out chasing my ball and rolling in the grass, when will I be this happy again?

You see I had a few lumps, a small one on my shoulder, a long black dangling one on my tummy and this big lump on my side.Well I don't have them anymore the nasty vet did cut them all out on friday, this was the big lump, think I prefer the lump to this scar.
the tiny one on my shoulder has gone too
so this is why I am sad, don't I look sad?

I can't get comfortable, I keep walking round and round in circles, my mummy is sad too. I will only lie down if my mummy stays with me, and I can't go for a proper walk for 10 days, they say I have to stay on my lead, no chasing the ball or running with my friends.
I don't feel like eating so mummy has bought me some chicken to tempt me, I might just manage that!
Oh well I hope next time I speak I will be feeling better, bye bye for now, not got the energy to bark!

Get Cappy a Bird

For those of you who already know Cappy will know that he has got a problem. Yeah we know about that!!!!

Ok Cappy has a birthday coming up and he would like his wife to buy him a bird. A bird for a married man I hear you cry, and one that his wife is going to supply, shock horror I hear you all shouting!!!

No, no don't go away its a special bird he wants, the feathered variety and not just any bird, a Cockatiel.

Well the deal is his wife said NO! So Cappy has made an appeal and has set up a petition, but there is a BUT, Cappy's wife has told him if he can get 50 people to sign his petition she will buy him a bird for his birthday!!! Now, now have been down that line its a Cockatiel, so to help a fellow blogger please take just a minute and pop over to here http://cappywantsacockatiel.blogspot.com and add your name.
Thanks

Come Fly with Me

This is the bi plane I went onNotice the 'step' ladders used to board Mmmm do you really start it like this!!

Checking the petrol tank!Do you like the seats, there is only eight Complete with emergency exit, in the roof, just pull the ring to activate!

This is how close I was sat to the Pilot!

And we are air borne!

Wonderful views over the moors and reservoirs

Coming in to land

Well that was one fun day out, we flew over my house but I wasn't quick enough to get a photo. Average speed was 110 miles, and a height of 2,500 feet, a trip well worth the money.

This and that

Not a lot to talk about, just a bit of this and that.

Good news is that our girl over at 'life or something like it' is back, boy haven't we all missed her!! And our mate Cappy is out of hospital, after worrying us all on his disappearance, and any one who is faint hearted just DO NOT go and look at the photos, man how he has coped with that I just do not know, lets hope that he is soon on the mend.

Have just booked a classic flight for me and himself, we will be flying in a vintage eight seat de Havilland Rapide bi-plane from Sheffield Airport, the flight will follow the route of the World War II Dambuster runs, when Lancaster bombers practised dropping the bouncing bombs over the Derwent and Ladybower reservoirs. How cool is that! This is a photo of the plane we will be flying in!

I enjoy reading, have done since I was a nipper, always take a book to bed with me, it helps me unwind and relax clearing the mind of the days happenings. Tend to read family sagas, you know Catherine Cookson, Margret Thornton, Elizabeth Waite and biography's etc.

Well Kell - 'tis herself', did a book review of 'Tell No One' by Harlan Coben, the book sounded really good so off I went to the local library to get me a copy. Couldn't get it but did get 'Just One Look' also by Harlan Coben. What a great read, it is something that I just wouldn't have thought about so thanks Kell.

Trouble is as I said I read in bed, usually for about an hour or so, but this book was just gripping I couldn't put it down, I was still awake and reading at 2 o'clock and I have to get up at 5!!! Well the book is finished and I will be going back to get some more of his books, might not read them in bed though!!!!
Oh and I have passed the 100 mark, and I don't feel a day older than 99, this is my 101 post!
That's all of this and that for now!

Blondes

Ok I did something really silly the other night I got very, very drunk, which, beleive it or not is just not like me, especially as it was a work day the next day, which I might say now didn't happen!!! The thing is when I get drunk I tend to ring everyone up, so if I rang you I am sorry and if I didn't ring you I am sorry!!! So that being a stupid blonde moment thought I would share some blonde jokes!

Two Blondes With Hammers...
Carol and Donna, were doing some carpenter work on a Habitat for Humanity house. Carol, who was nailing down house siding, would reach into her nail pouch, pull out a nail and either toss it over her shoulder or nail it in.
Donna, figuring this was worth looking into, asked, "Why are you throwing those nails away?"

Carol explained, "When I pull a nail out of my pouch, about half of them have the head on the wrong end and I throw them away."
Donna got completely upset and yelled, "You moron! Those nails aren't defective! They're for the other side of the house!"

Did you hear about the two blondes who froze to death in a drive-in movie?
They had gone to see "Closed for the Winter."

A blonde hurried into the emergency room late one night with the tip of her index finger shot off.

"How did this happen?" the emergency room doctor asked her.
"Well, I was trying to commit suicide," the blonde replied.
"What?" sputtered the doctor. "You tried to commit suicide by shooting off your finger?"
"No, Silly" the blonde said.
"First I put the gun to my chest, and then I thought, 'I just paid $6,000.00 for these implants. I'm not shooting myself in the chest."
"So then?" asked the doctor.
"Then I put the gun in my mouth, and I thought, "I just paid $3,000.00 to get my
teeth straightened I'm not shooting myself in the mouth."

"So then?"
"Then I put the gun to my ear, and I thought: "This is going to make a loud noise. So I put my finger in my other ear before I pulled the trigger.

A blonde was driving home after a game and got caught in a really bad hailstorm.

Her car was covered with dents, so the next day she took it to a repair shop.
The shop owner saw that she was a blonde, so he decided to have some fun.
He told her to go home and blow into the tail pipe really hard, and all the dents would pop out.
So, the blonde went home, got down on her hands and knees and started blowing into her tailpipe. Nothing happened. So she blew a little harder, and still nothing happened.
Her blonde roommate saw her and asked, "What are you doing?"
The first blonde told her how the repairman had instructed her to blow into the tail pipe in order to get all the dents to pop out .
The roommate rolled her eyes and said, "Uh, like hello! You need to roll up the windows first."

A blonde was shopping at Target and came across a shiny silver thermos.
She was quite fascinated by it, so she picked it up and took it to the clerk to ask what it was.

The clerk said, "Why, that's a thermos..... it keeps hot things hot, and cold things cold."
"Wow, said the blonde, "that's amazing....I' m going to buy it!!
"So she bought the thermos and took it to work the next day.
Her boss saw it on her desk. "What's that," he asked?
"Why, that's a thermos..... it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold the blonde replied.
Her boss inquired, "What do you have in it?"
The blond replied..... .."Two popsicles and some coffee."

A blonde goes into work one morning crying her eyes out.

Her boss asked sympathetically, "What's the matter?"
The blonde replies, "Early this morning I got a phone call saying that my mother had passed away."
The boss, feeling sorry for her, says, "Why don't you go home for the day?
Take the day off to relax and rest."

"Thanks, but I'd be better off here. I need to keep my mind off it and I have the best chance of doing that here."
The boss agrees and allows the blonde to work as usual.

A couple of hours pass and the boss decides to check on the blonde. He looks out from his office and sees the blonde crying hysterically.
"What's so bad now? Are you gonna be okay?" he asks.
"No!" exclaims the blonde. "I just received a horrible call from my sister. Her mother died, too!"

Words

The following are list of words and phrases that have a unique meaning in the female vocabulary!
Fine - This is the word woman use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
Five Minutes - If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
Nothing - This is the calm before the storm. Nothing means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
Go Ahead - This is a dare, not permission. Whatever it was you were going to do, don't do it.
Loud Sigh - Not a word but a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. It means she thinks you are wasting her time standing here and arguing about nothing (which is a very different nothing to the one listed earlier)
That's Okay - This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That's ok means she is thinking long and hard about how you will pay for your mistake.
Thanks - A woman is thanking you. Do not question, do not faint. Just say "You're welcome"
Whatever - Is a woman's way of saying "This converstaion is terminated."
Don't worry about it, I'll do it - Another dangerous statement meaning a woman is now having to do a task she told a man to do several times - and is not very happy about it. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong."
So there are the woman's meaning, but hang on, men don't get away that easy!
Men's innocnent words and phrases.
Fine - That is what men say when you ask them how you look when you are dressed to the nines.
In a minute - Translation - I'll do it when I'm good and ready.
Nothing - The standard reply when you ask him how much he's drunk/eaten or what he's been doing when he arrives home late for his tea.
Go Ahead - It is usually the phrase he comes out with when there's a holiday or a night out you want to book but he can't be bothered to even think about. You might think his go ahead gives you full permission, but it doesn't. All it does is land you with the blame if whatever you booked was rubbish.
I'm Thinking Of Buying - Whatever it is he's already bought it. This is just his way of conning you into thinking your opinion is being considered.
How Much? - What he replies when you tell him what your recent purchase "only" cost. Or the price tag on that thing you want him to get you for your birthday.
I'm not wearing/doing/saying THAT - This is usually said in a school boy like defiance when you're trying to give him a carefully considered piece of advice.
I'll only have the one pint - This is a pacifier. Don't be fooled.
I'll only watch the highlights - Same as above.
Haven't you got anything else to wear? - What he says when you are dressed to the nines and he doesn't think you look fine.

This was in the local evening paper and I thought I would share it with you all, and I bet you have all got words and phrases that you could add to it!

I want my mummy

I am poorly and I want my mummy! But she is not here any more.

Remember when you where little and you got ill all you wanted was your mummy? I know there are quite a few people out there who never had the love of a mother and I am so sorry for you, and I wish you could all have experienced that special love that only a mum can give.

Well I am poorly and I want my mummy to make me feel better, she used to put me to bed with a hot water bottle, fetch me nice things to eat and drink, read to me, sit with me, cuddle me she made me feel safe, nothing was too much trouble for her, all she wanted was to make me feel better and to help me get better.

So now I am off to bed with my hot water bottle, after taking the antibiotics, the pain killers and the anti spasmodic tablets, with a hot drink of horlicks and I hope to be able to go to sleep.

What's wrong with me you might be asking, really you don't want to know! You sure you want to know? Oh well I suffer from diverticular disease, not nice look it up!

Had it for 15 years and thankfully only get an attack every now and then, this is the first one in 18 months so I not doing too bad, but when I do get an attack boy do I know about it!

Which really makes me feel for those who suffer from any illness/disease, people who live and cope with MS, Diabetes's, Arthritis, IBS, Cohen's Disease the list goes on, these people mainly suffer in silence, they don't whinge and get mardy, they battle on every day, well done to you, I applaud you all.

So I am off to me bed now, without he comforting arms of my mummy, good night all, sleep well x

Low and Down

Not been about much this week, I feel so exhausted and haven't been sleeping too well, you know the nights, waking up nearly every other hour!

I recently got in touch with an old friend of mine, through the friends reunited web site, we met when my family moved onto the same street in Blackpool in 1973. We had a disagrement some years ago over us attending the wedding of her ex. I really missed her but was so pleased to get back in touch again after so many years.

So we have been e-mailing and getting up to date with each others news. I told her about my brother-in-law who died on the 13th March, and then she gave me her bad news. Her brother died on the 10th March, her birthday, at her home and she found him, he was so young 44 or 45 not quite sure, how sad is that, I just can't beleive it. It was his funeral today and I have been thinking about her and her family, love you all girl.

Tomorrow is the service for my brother-in-law, Ron, he was cremated on wednesday, this was only attended by his wife, my sister, her son, Ron's brother and his son and my eldest sister and her husband. So friday we will be 'celebrating' Ron's life, something I am not at all looking forward to at all, there will be a service at the funeral parlour and then back to the sister's house.

I will be meeting members of my family who I do not want to meet, I do not want to see or talk to them but for the memory of Ron I will do this, my stomach is in knots I feel so sick thinking about it, and this is the reason I have not been sleeping, and why I feel so low and down. Also my husband is not welcome due to family fall outs! My son and his partner will be coming with me which I am thankful for.

Did I say in the last post enough gloom and doom and here I am again! Sorry about this but such is life eh! One of the songs that will be played at the service is 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life', so that is what I must do eh!

Enough now, time to think about moving onwards and upwards, feel free to give me a kick up the backside. Will try and catch up with you all out there and hope someone manages to bring a smile to my face!
