I want my mummy

I am poorly and I want my mummy! But she is not here any more.

Remember when you where little and you got ill all you wanted was your mummy? I know there are quite a few people out there who never had the love of a mother and I am so sorry for you, and I wish you could all have experienced that special love that only a mum can give.

Well I am poorly and I want my mummy to make me feel better, she used to put me to bed with a hot water bottle, fetch me nice things to eat and drink, read to me, sit with me, cuddle me she made me feel safe, nothing was too much trouble for her, all she wanted was to make me feel better and to help me get better.

So now I am off to bed with my hot water bottle, after taking the antibiotics, the pain killers and the anti spasmodic tablets, with a hot drink of horlicks and I hope to be able to go to sleep.

What's wrong with me you might be asking, really you don't want to know! You sure you want to know? Oh well I suffer from diverticular disease, not nice look it up!

Had it for 15 years and thankfully only get an attack every now and then, this is the first one in 18 months so I not doing too bad, but when I do get an attack boy do I know about it!

Which really makes me feel for those who suffer from any illness/disease, people who live and cope with MS, Diabetes's, Arthritis, IBS, Cohen's Disease the list goes on, these people mainly suffer in silence, they don't whinge and get mardy, they battle on every day, well done to you, I applaud you all.

So I am off to me bed now, without he comforting arms of my mummy, good night all, sleep well x

I have many clocks and I am timely.

Every day I am hearing some new problems and I keep forgetting.

I am lucky HER INDOORS, I enjoyed love and care of my mom for a verylong time, she died in my arms. I saw her last breath leaving. I wrote about her in my December 8 post last year. Now I have many mothers to deal with, some of them are just kids. Its like I am a horse to be trained by many, a donkey rather. I am something to be repaired and corrected all the time.

hope you get well soon HER INDOORS.

i had that about 12 years back. and it got me a suspension!
basically i was doubled up in my bedsit, and couldn't, or didn't want to, get dressed and walk the 200 yards to the nearest payphone and phone in sick!
so you have my deapest sympaty, especially if you are having to drink water with that stuff they make you put in which converts it to something akin to a look of ditchwater!
get well soon.

I remember my mom -- hands so rough from work that she had to wear gloves to put her nylons on for church so as not to snag them...

yet, when I was sick, they had the softest touch in the world.
