Closed for the week, off to Scotland, stopping at Kinross, Inverness and Sterling.

and calling at lots and lots of places on route!

Hoping to see himself in a kilt!

Will go searching fof Nessie
in the bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond.


We will be doing approximately 1,000 miles and loving every minute of it.

Soon Be Christmas

Got myself a new hair style, would show you but I am shy! yeah right!

So we have now got carpet in the kitchen, yes I know not a good thing having carpet in the kitchen, it looks good but I don't want carpet in the kitchen, but I was outvoted, himself prefers it as it is kinder on his feet, and Mr Milo prefers it doesn't make a noise when he walks on it! It is waterproof backed but that's the only good thing about it! Suppose I will get used to it, well got no choice really!

Can you believe this, a couple have just been on the local news and they have put up their Christmas decorations! Yep it is the 25th October and their house is fully decorated for Christmas! The outside and the inside, their 12 year old son is embarrassed, don't blame him! I mean don't get me wrong I love Christmas but it is still two months away for gods sake!

Mr Milo is not a very happy fella, it is the time of year that he really hates, it's not the weather, he can cope with it getting a bit colder, he can cope with the odd rain shower, which I must say we haven't had a lot of YET. So why is he sad? It's the firework season! Bonfire night is not till the 5th November but the fireworks start earlier every year. I hate them, I really think they should be banned from public sale and only organised firework displays held on the 5th November. Mean of me I know but that's just my opinion.

I have not told you but next week I will not be around, now now don't be getting upset I am sure you can manage a week without me! We are off to Scotland, beautiful Scotland, so I promise you I will try and have a nice time, of course I would rather stay at home and spend the week blogging! What do you mean you don't believe me! You cynical lot you! Will do my best to get you a photo of the Loch Ness Monster, but got a feeling himself will scare it off! And don't worry about Mr Milo he is off to his friends were he will have lots of doggy company and lots of good, long walks!

Fun Monday

This week's Fun Monday is being hosted by Willowtree, he wants to see some clothing art. That's tee shirts, baseball caps, hoodies, sports uniforms or any bit of clothing that you or your kids own that has interesting, funny or artistic graphics.

The first three tee shirts I have bought specially for today's post! OK no I haven't I have bought them for my grandson who is 2 1/2, just couldn't resist them!

The first ever concert I went to was Meat Loaf, and yes I bought and wore this tee shirt, great concert it was too!


No I am not ashamed to say that I went to a Cliff concert last year and I wear this with pride and to annoy everybody else! I know my taste in music is very diverse lol!

The last one shows how much I think of the environment doesn't it? Well yes I do but the tee shirt was a freebie from work! You can imagine the looks I get when wearing it!

I apologise if I don't get round to everybody's blog today as we are having the kitchen floor ripped up and replaced, so be patient and I will try and visit later or on tuesday, thanks and thanks to Willowtree for being our host today.
p.s wow didn't realsie that our Sir Cliff Richard was not so well known, he was once called the British version of Elvis, who I also love!

Fun monday meeting partners

This week's Fun Monday is being hosted by Janet her task is;

Describe your meeting with your spouse/significant other. I especially want to hear "meet cute" stories. And it doesn't have to be your actual current sig/other. Perhaps the "meet cute" story is a former boy/girlfriend... or even a best friend. Illustrate with photos, of course.

I admit I have cheated with this one, a while back i agreed to be interviewed by DJ Kirkby and this was one of the questions she asked me!

My friend had moved into a new flat and invited me round for tea, I went straight from college. Her mum decided that we should go out for a drink and took us to where she worked the Trade of Jacks nightclub in Blackpool. I wasn’t dressed to go out clubbing and didn’t really want to go but she was very persuasive!

The Trade of Jacks was an elite night club, it belonged to the Imperial Hotel. You had to have a membership for it, but as Dee worked there we could get in with her.

We were stood at the bar having a drink, and this tall handsome man with a lovely smile walked towards us. Dee started to talk to him as she obviously knew him.

There was a group of people beside us who were drinking champagne, one of the girls spilt hers all down himself’s trousers! He laughed, lifted his leg up and pushed my face down and told me to smell as it was real champagne and it would be the nearest I ever got to tasting it!

We spent the night together, had the last dance, Watership Down, and he drove me home in a really big flash car.

I was going away for 2 weeks but promised to send him a post card, which I did but wrote it in shorthand!!! Well I knew he would have to see me again to ask what I had written!!!

And that was that, we met 6th April 1979 and married 15th December 1979. I am so glad I went to my friends for tea that night!

Us then, oh so many years ago!
