My Forgetter

My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funny
But, to me, that is no joke

For when I'm "here" I'm wondering
If I really should be "there"
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!

Oft times I walk into a room,
Say "what am I here for?"
I wrack my brain, but all in vain!
A zero, is my score.

At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!

When shopping I may see someone,
Say "Hi" and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I ask myself, "Who was that?"

Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.

I posted this some time back, but on a recent post over at Hick Chic it just brought it to mind, so Heidi this is for you and the rest of us who have this forgetter problem!!So this is my list for today!
p.s. sorry people I did forget to tell you that I can not take credit for the poem, it was sent to me via e-mail some time ago

That's basically all any of us can do each day. Maybe eat too, but I guess that's part of surviving. LOL

Very thought-provoking, but don't forget between 1. and 2. to smell the roses as well.

That's the difference between living and existing.

Have fun ....

My list for today would be the same except that I would have to add "Go To Waffle House" either after “get up” or before “go back to bed.” I think. What were we talking about?
