David Blaine Test

This is amazing

DAVID BLAINE TEST

This is creepy!

Think of a letter between
A and W
.
Repeat it
out loud as
you scroll down
.
.
.

Keep going
.
.
.
Don't stop
.
.
.
.
Think of an
animal
that begins
with that letter
.
.
.

Repeat it
out loud
as you
scroll down
..
.
.
.
.
Think of either
a man's or a woman's
name
that
begins
with the
last letter
in the
animal's name
.
.
.
.
.
.
..

Almost
there
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

Now
count out
the letters
in that name
on the fingers
of the hand
you are not
using to
scroll down
.
.
.
Take the
hand you
counted with
and hold it out
in front of you
at face level
.
.
.
Look at your
palm
very closely
and
notice
the
lines
on
your
hand
.

Do the lines
take the
form of the
first letter
in the
persons name?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Of course they

don't !
.
.
Now smack
yourself in the head,
get a life,
and
quit playing
stupid
games!

Vegas and Grand Canyon

Next stop was Vegas, my oh my what a place Vegas is, it is full of life you could just sit and people watch all day, but alas we have no time, too much to see and do.

Vegas from the helicopter.

The Eiffel Tower, half the size of the real one, beautiful, we never made the trip up this in Paris so we went for it in Vegas.

A taste of Venice
and New York
Vegas at night from the Stratosphere, 110 floors up, 866 feet high, very, very windy, amazing views
We had pre-booked a helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, then landing at the Ranch for breakfast. What can I say about this but WOW, if you get the chance to do it then please go for it.
our transport for the morning.

Yep that is me playing at Cowboys and Indians!!!!
and that is himself being a Cowboy!
Spirit Mountain, this is where the Indian's Spirits go,

So that was Vegas and the Grand Canyon, next port of call is Grand Canyon Lodges via the Hoover Dam, and a detour on the way, tune in next week to see what we saw!!

No Photo's!

Thought we would have a bit of a breather from all the photo's, still got Vegas and LA to do yet, don't want to bore you all now do I!!!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter and that you all found the eggs or goodies that the Easter Bunny left you.

We had a trip over to see the lad, missy and the little fella, oh my how he is coming along. He loves his grandad he is all for his 'gangad' (in his words)! Don't get me wrong I get kisses and cuddles too but he will sit next to gangad and bring him books and toys, he even fell asleep leaning on gangad's big belly! And when his other gangad came he was so excited to have '2 gangads' he didn't know who to go to LOL.

Right I have been tagged, no please don't go running off in fear of me tagging you! Get back here NOW OK! Gosh some of you, I don't know why you hide when tagging is mentioned!

Anyways WHY has tagged me, oh sorry let me introduce you to WHY, he is a new blogger, but he knows all about blogging as he is Biddie's man, so please call over and say hi to WHY.

This is what you have to do:

Post the rules before you give your answers.

List one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name. At the end of your blog post, tag one person (or blogger of another species) for each letter of your middle name. Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.

A - adorable, well i think i am!
N - nymphomaniac, he thinks i am!
N - nutter, well you think i am!
E - energetic, well i wish i was!

For those of you who were brave enough to stay this far here is who I am tagging

Cammie, Rain, Beccy and Shauna, hoping to wake a few of these blogger up!!!

And, and is blogger playing up again? It has decided to start increasing the line spacings, have tried to correct it but to no avail, they always seem to be doing something uh?!

p.s. lets see if anyone notice's something about this post that is familiar!

Want to go Back to America

OK this snow was great but the road to Yosemite, a 12 mile pass named Tiogra, was shut due to the snow. So to get to Yosemite would entail a big diversion, one that we would have to do again to drive to Vegas. So we decided to be adventourous and do our own thing for the next two days and nights! Himself had yet another 'want' he wanted to stay in a proper old type Motel!

So we planned our route Bridgeport - Mono Lake - Bisphops - day one, Big Pine - Lone Pine then to Death Valley.
OK so by now you would have thought we had learned our lesson with Tilly! I programmed Bridgeport into it! So after 60 miles himself noticed that we were going in the wrong direction! I have no sense of direction, but why did it take him 60 miles to work this one out huh!!!! Too many towns have the same name in the States and thats my defence! So about turn, not too far really an extra 120 miles round trip, but it was all on a mountain pass, oh well no worries it all add's to the fun and excitement.

We stopped at Bridgeport, but the shops where just closing! Drove onto Mono Lake, one of the strangest looking places in the US and possibly one of the oldest lakes in the world. This photo doesn't do it justice at all but it was the best I could get.

Driving and driving getting dark now time to look for a motel. Called at Tom's Place, just off the road, very, very dark, no lights, cafe one side motel rooms the other, too spooky for me I had coffee and ran! Could see lights of a town in the distance so we drove on, finally we came to what we thought was the town of Bishop's, we were tired and hungry, pulled into the motel. The owner said it was 50 dollars - but it aint got no bath tub and 15 dollars extra for the kitchen. The room was freezing, the tv must have been 40 years old. We slept we got up we went! About a mile down the road we entered Bishop Town full of Motels and eateries and very nice too!

So inot Death Valley, we stopped the night at Stovepipe Wells, it was in the 80's and it was bloody beautiful, no need for words now so enjoy the photos.

Time For More Photos

Well into our holiday, well three days have past already so fast! It is time to leave the wonderful San Francisco and head to Lake Tahoe, via Sacramento to meet Jas and his family. Jas his wife J and daughter A took us to Old Sacramento were we wandered in and out of the shops and had a lovely dinner. It was great meeting a blog buddie, sad to say Jas no longer blogs, they made us feel so welcome thank you you three. The last shop we went to was the candy store! Thank you J for our candy, she bought a big bag of candy for our road trip, trouble is I need more, more lots more!We had to say goodbye as we needed to reach Lake Tahoe and had heard that the snow was on its way! And believe me that snow waited for us! We had to have the snow chains put on the car, having never used snow chains this was quite an experience! The driving wheel vibrated making my hands tingle, but I was sure glad of those snow chains, the snow was coming down thick and fast, so fast that I needed to pull over and clear the windscreen so I could see!

Glad this is not my car!!

We missed a turning as the road signs were just covered in snow and Tilly was being a little bit too quite for me! So we pulled into a garage and tried to put some petrol/gas in the car. Now I know how to do this I do really, but I didn't know that you had to pre pay for your gas first! Took us a while to sort this out and with red faces we turned the car round and retraced our steps. The Hotel was found the car was parked and we relaxed. Waking up to this lovely view of Lake Tahoe the next day.

Any one fancy a swim! There are too hot spa pools that people did use, afraid I was too much of a wimp to venture outside in a swim suit!
The snow had stopped so we took ourselves off out visiting Carson City, calling at the State Railroad Museum.
A tour round Carson City visiting Krebs-Peterson House, this house was featured in John Wayne's last film "The Shootist"

Now if you look closely you can even see an image of the Duke himself! Now for our next bit of stupidity! We still had the snow chains on and there was no snow on the roads out here! So being a bit smart I decided to remove them! Ooops not a good idea, well lets say that I only undid the clips on one side of the tyre and just couldn't work out how they came off! To the rescue of a damsel in distress came a very nice man with a giant pair of wire cutters, once he realised what I had, or hadn't done, he soon showed me what to do. OK the a very red me and himself went on to Virginia City.It took a few miles and a bit longer to get here than it should have! WHY?! Because I typed Virginia into Tilly (sat. nav) not Virginia City! OK I know leave it to a woman to make so many cock ups! Himself was yet again in his element here it was like stepping back in time to the Western era. My favourite building here was the acoustically perfect St Mary's Church in the Mountains, the oldest active Catholic Church in Nevada. Beautiful isn't it.

Right then will leave you with these for a while, the next lot will not be of Yosemite due to the snow we missed this out of our trip, instead we took ourselves off to a few different places, no you will need to tune in again to find out where we went!

Still trying to call over and see you all, but don't worry I will do it! Off to the hospital in the morning it is the day of the GROMMET!!!!! wish me luck!!!!

America at Last

OK I have finally managed to download the photos to the computers, took a long time doing, I mean there are 733 photos! Can you believe that I took that many photos, don't worry too much I promise not to show you all of them!

We had a truly wonderful time from start to finish, just wish we could have spent longer, especially with Jas and his family, felt like we had known them for years.
This is the first photo I took, flying over Iceland and Greenland 39,999 feet high, traveling at 575 miles per hour, the outside temp is -52!
We had a good flight, arrived at San Francisco and strolled through Immigrations. Collected our great big 7 seater, well when in Rome........
Erm, they gave us the keys and the Sat. Nav. and that was that, OK we know how to drive, but, but, erm where is the hand brake on this thing? Yep we had to get help just could not find the hand brake! So are all 'hand brakes' in American cars on the floor then?!

Himself did really well on our first drive to the hotel, got there without getting lost once, well done Tilly (the name we gave to our GPS)!

We managed to have a quick walk about but eventually caved in and hit bed at 7.30pm! well that would have been 3.30am for our body clocks!

Good morning San Francisco

Our first day we went to Pier 33 to get the boat to Alcatraz
It makes me wonder that if today's prisons were like this if there would be less crime in the world. We wondered round the lovely Pier 39, full shops, eateries and entertainment, I spent that much time wondering in and out of the shops that it was dark when we left and I forgot to take photos, my camera doesn't do night shots!!!!

Himself sat and rested with the Sea Lions at Pier 39 leaving me free to wonder in an out of the shops, and yes he let me loose with the money!!!!

Day two we spent the morning riding the Cable Cars, what an experience not to miss! Not a comfy ride at all but a ride well worth taking.

I mean you just wouldn't walk up these hills would you!!

Roads in England are just not this straight!

The view from Macy's, well I have to admit here I only went into the store because the Cheesecake Factory was in it mmmmmmmmmm, me had cheese cake mmmmmmmmmm!!!!

We dined in a 50's diner, I could have stayed here all day feeding the jukebox, a jukebox at every table, I LOVE IT!

We made our way back to Fisherman's Wharfe to pick up the tour bus which took us over the Golden Gate Bridge

into the Golden Gate Park and up to the Twin Peaks. The weather had turned, in fact it was absolutely throwing it down, so although we got to see so much of this wonderful City I can't show you the photos as I couldn't take many due to the rain! But hey as Jas's wife said we are from England and are used to the rain!!!

We left San Francisco via Lombard Street, well you gotta drive down the crookedest street in the world now haven't you, well he did!

So I hope you enjoyed the first set of photos of my holiday. We drove over the Bay Bridge into Sacramento to meet Redneck Nerd Boy, aka Jas and his lovely wife and daughter. More to come..........................
