How to Help?

Not really got anything to say.

This week is not going to be filled with laughter so be warned if you want to give me a miss this week!

On a lighter side my mate DJKirkby has presented me with this award as she says 'Her Indoors has earned this award by regularly posting stuff that makes me laugh or feel a bit tearful (how does she manage that)?

Well I enjoy making people laugh, it's the child inside me! But I do sometimes feel low, as in today and also as warned this week is a bad week for me, all will become apparent on Wednesday.
So thank you DJKirkby for thinking off me and I promise by the end of the week I will be back to giving you a laugh.

How sad that your son and girlfriend are thinking of splitting up, the fact that you care and can be there for him (even on the end of a phone) must be of great support to him.

I am sorry you feel blue. Let me see if I can cheer you up.

While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary school, a policeman was interrupted by a little girl about six years old. Looking up and down at the uniform, she asked, “Are you a police officer?”

“Yes,” he answered, and continued writing the report.

“My mother said if I ever needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?”

With concern, he stopped writing and said, “Yes, that’s right.”

“Well, then,” she said as she extended her foot, “would you please tie my shoe?”

Or

A man and his wife were making their first doctor visit, the wife being pregnant with their first child. After everything checked out, the doctor took a small stamp and stamped the wife’s stomach with the indelible ink. The couple was curious about what the stamp was for, so when they got home, the husband got out his magnifying glass to see what it was. In very tiny letters, the stamp said, “When you can read this come back and see me.”

Now do you feel a little better? Give you a little chuckle? If not, go to my place and see if that helps you. If neither place makes you laugh, then you are beyond help.

I'm sorry you're starting off the week feeling blue and that it's going to be a bad week. I know my mom hurts when I'm hurting and there's nothing either one of can do. But thank goodness she cares so much that she does that. It's more support than she realizes.

You've just got to be there when they need you eh?

Jax just split with her first serious boyfriend. Both are upset. She split 'cause she doesn't feel ready for 'serious' yet. Sensible at her age but tough on them both.

Mind you he isn't that rich and she knows she can only marry somebody who'll keep me in the manner to which I would like to become accustomed...

How about I try and take your mind off it? We could do films with 'ref' in the title! How about for starters?

Men in Black.
The Whistle Blower.

I'm struggling already!!

Oh...you know we still like you even if you're not up to your usual level of funny!

I hope your lad and his lady can work things out...and if not I know you'll be there to help him through, even if all you can give is mother's love.

I am sorry that your son and his girlfriend are having difficulties. Relationships are hard and none harder than when you're under the same roof.

Also, I am sorry that you have a difficult week coming your way. Life's ups and downs can be disconerting sometimes.

Hopefully the lad and girlfriend will find a way talk things out and things can get better from there.

I guess we never stop worrying about them, do we? How lucky for him to have a mom like you. Hope you weather the week.

You do make me smile, Kate. Time and time again :)

I hope that things work out for your son and his girl.
You're a good mom, and he knows that you will be there for him..It's so hard to see our children suffer. I hate it, and it never gets easier, no matter how old they get.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Big Hugs,
Biddie xx
