One Quick Week

A lovely quiet two days by the sea side in Cleethorpes.

these are known as the 'fitties', one of the oldest plot-land developments in this country, dating from World War 1. Now given protected status this holiday village has a wide range of houses, some self-built. They can only be lived in for 10 months of the year.

and of course no trip to the sea side is

complete without fish, chips and mushy peas!

we took ourselves off for a few little wooded
walks in the country

now who would live in a house like this?!

and of course we stopped off for some home made ice cream, very nice it was too!
now its back to work!

Glad to see it wasn't raining and you seemed to have the sun shining.

That sounds like a perfect holiday to me. I've never been to Cleethorpes but it looks like a pretty place for walks and I could just eat some FishnChips seeing that photo (less keen on mushy peas but embee loves them-I'm not sure they love him hehe!)

It looks like you had a nice, relaxing trip.
I LOVE fish and chips, but mushy peas? Not so much.

I like the pics and it is good to get away from all the normal day to day crap that stops us from being ourselves.

p.s. mushy peas are EVIL!

Why can they only live in those houses 10 months out of the year?

Glad you had a good time. Looks relaxing. I like fish and chips, but imagine my surprise when I realized that chips are what we call French fries. lol

dilling - yep we have to return back to normal :-(

jay - they are 'caravans' - or holiday homes

betty - nice fat chunky chips the best

You just need a bit of tartar sauce and gravy and your fish and chips are good to go. I can't remember if you do "fries and gravy" in the UK? And I agree - mushy peas - that's what I gave my babies at 5 months old - ewww. Looks like a fun trip - I want to go there!
